House prices fell about 2% in the third quarter of 2008 compared to a year earlier, according to figures from the home owners’ association NVM.

But the NVM believes the full 2008 picture will show a 2% rise, reports Tuesday’s Volkskrant.
According to the official housing register, the rise in house prices was the smallest in five years in August, the paper says.
