Booking.com founder invests in faster medical trials
A group of investors including Kees Koolen, a founder of travel booking website Booking.com, has invested €10m in Mytomorrows which is working on speeding up medical clinical trials
Koolen told Het Financieele Dagbld on Monday that Mytomorrows has the potential to revolutionise an entire industry. Koolen used his Swedish investment vehicle EQT Venutres to make the move.
Mytomorrows has built up a digital database to enable doctors to determine which experimental drugs are being developed which might help their patients. It was set up four years ago by Ronald Brus, former head of Dutch biotech company Crucell.
The fresh capital will be used to speed up growth. Mytomorrows has a payroll of 40 and is active in 17 countries.
