Geert Wilders to expand the PVV at a local level

PVVPVV leader Geert Wilders wants his party to take part in as many places as possible in the 2018 local elections.

The PVV only contested the local vote in Almere and The Hague in 2013 and Wilders told the AD in an interview on Saturday the extension into other towns and cities is ‘only logical’.

‘People want more. I have seen there is a need from Volendam to Venlo and Zeeland to Groningen,’ he said.

However, Wilders again reiterated his opposition to having a PVV membership system. Currently he is the only official member, which means the party misses out on some government funding.

People are not interested in becoming a member of the party, Wilders said. ‘It has nothing at all to do with democracy.’
