Video: Ajax players celebrate Mother’s Day by taking their mums to the match
Ajax football players celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday by asking their mothers to join them for the traditional pitch walk-on ahead of their match against Cambuur.
The pre-match gesture generated a lot of local media coverage, as photographers queued up to get the best shots of mum and son double acts.
Ajax went on to win the game 3-0, reinforcing their second place in the Eredivisie and a place in the play-offs for next season’s Champions League.
