Most Rotterdammers happy with their city

Some six out of 10 people living in Rotterdam are optimistic about the city’s future, according to research carried out by the city council involving 30,000 Rotterdammers.

A large majority are happy about the quality of life in the city yet 25% think their neighbourhood has deteriorated in recent years.

Three out of 10 expect life in Rotterdam to improve over the next two years and 24% expect it to worsen.

The city council plans to use the results of the survey to focus policies on particular neighbourhoods, the AD says.
