Summer’s back: forecasters say it will be up to 30 Celsius

Temperatures of up to 30 Celsius are expected in the southeast of the Netherlands later this week, as high summer returns.

Wednesday will be sunny and warm at around 25 Celsius but Thursday and Friday will be even hotter, according to website Weeronline.

However, thunderstorms may spoil the sunshine later on Friday and at the weekend, weather forecasters said. The warm weather is expected to continue into next week.

Temperatures of over 30 Celsius only occur one September in five, Weeronline said. It last happened in 2009.
