Winter returns to much of Holland

Snow has again covered large parts of the Netherlands, with up to 15 cm falling in Almere, website weeronline.nl reported.

The snow front is moving northwards, causing slippery conditions on many roads after the overnight frost.

Most parts of the country will have sunny spells on Sunday and Monday, but the temperature is set to dip to as low as -5 Celsius overnight.

The chilly weather with occasional wintry showers will remain for most of the week.
