Sales of supermarket own label products rise 5%Wednesday 20 February 2013 Campina dairy products are the most popular A brand items in Dutch supermarkets followed by Marlboro cigarettes and Douwe Egberts coffee, according to market research group SymphonyIRI. The company draws up an annual list of the Netherlands' leading brands. Last year the sale of branded goods in the Netherlands rose 1.5%, but supermarket own brands rose almost 5%.

By Highlander | 21 February 2013 9:10 AMMy god, that's a depressing list. Just goes to show the complete lack of excitement in Dutch food buying habits. More pleasure is derived in the Netherlands during the excreting of bodily waste than is had during the consumption of the food.
