Snow in most parts on Sunday, weather warning in Limburg

Snow will move into the south of the Netherlands on Sunday morning and spread to all but the far north during the day, according to the KNMI weather bureau.

The KNMI issued a code orange warning in the far south of the country, where much of the snow will fall, because of the risk of black ice.

Temperatures will vary from zero to -4 Celsius during the day, but with the wind picking up, it will feel bitterly cold in the east and the coastal provinces, the KNMI said.

More snow may fall on Monday and it will remain very chilly all week.

The arrival of snow in the northern provinces will be a disappointment for skaters because it slows down the growth of the ice.
