Former transport minister to take over KLM top job, says Nos

Former transport minister Camiel Eurlings is to replace KLM chief executive Peter Hartman next year, Nos television reports, quoting company sources.


Hartman is due to retire in 2013.
Eurlings, 39, was controversially appointed director of Air France-KLM’s cargo division when he left politics in 2011. Tipped as a potential CDA leader, he said he was leaving to start a family.
Sources told the broadcaster the past 18 months have been used to be prepare him for the KLM top job.
