Olympics: Silver medal for Dutch equestrian team

The Dutch show jumpers won the silver medal at Greenwich Park on Monday afternoon after a thrilling jump-off against the British team.

Jur Vrieling, Maikel van der Vleuten, Marc Houtzager and Gerco Schröder ended the competition tied with the Brits for gold.
A jump-off was arranged with a shorter course and a shorter time and all eight riders set to jump another round.
Because of the way the penalties are calculated, a clear round by the third British rider meant the Dutch ended in second place with the silver medal.
It was the first Olympic gold in the show jumping for Britain for sixty years.
The bronze medal went to the team from Saudi Arabia.
The Netherlands is in 12th place on the medals table with three gold, three silver and four bronze.
