Dutch industry still shrinking

Dutch industry shrunk in July for the fifth month in a row, the Dutch purchasing managers Nevi index reports on Wednesday.


The Nevi index remained at its June level of 48.9, with production, new orders and employment all showing a fall.
Sale prices dropped for the first time since November 2011, and purchasing prices rose to their highest in over three years.
However, the volume of new export orders for Dutch products rose in July for the first time in three months.
