Beatrix to visit Turkey
Tuesday 12 June 2012
Queen Beatrix leaves for a two-day visit to Turkey on Wednesday as part of the celebration of 400 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Her trip follows the state visit to the Netherlands of the Turkish president Abdullah Gül in April.
On Thursday, she will lunch with students and scientists in Istanbul and in the evening attend a performance by the Nederlands Dans Theater followed by a reception.
She will be accompanied by foreign minister Uri Rosenthal.

I don't really understand why the Queen of The Netherlands is visiting a Muslim country. Instead NL should derecognize Turkey. What a shame...
