Train services almost back to normal

Train services in central parts of the country were almost back to normal by mid afternoon on Thursday following the morning chaos which was caused by a technical fault.

Services are still experiencing some delays but these should be over by the evening rush hour, a spokesman for Dutch Rail (NS) told news agency ANP.
Tens of thousands of commuters were unable to use the train to get to work on Thursday morning because of the problems. NS was also ‘unable’ to organise bus replacements.
MPs have demanded an explanation.
