Eindhoven football club PSV was unable to overturn its 2-4 away defeat against Valencia on Thursday evening. PSV could only manage a 1-1 draw at home, putting it out of the Europa League Cup.

FC Twente, having won the home match 1-0, was beaten by German side Schalke 04 1-4. Three of Schalke’s goals were scored by Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
