Employers leader urges cabinet to distance itself from anti-Pole websiteThursday 09 February 2012 The government should distance itself from a website set up by the anti-immigration PVV to record complaints about central and eastern Europeans in the Netherlands, employers' chief Bernard Wientjes said on Thursday. The website is 'a form of demonisation', Wientjes told a news conference. 'This contributes to a fear of foreigners, which is not what we should have in this open country,' Nos television quoted Wientjes as saying. So far, only social affairs minister Henk Kamp has commented on the site. He said it is up to the PVV to decide for itself what action to take. The PVV has an alliance with the minority government, which it supports on economic policy in return for tougher immigration rules. Problems The website, launched on Wednesday, asks people to report complaints about central and eastern European immigrants in the Netherlands. 'Do you have problems with people from central and eastern Europe? Have you lost your job to a Pole, Bulgarian, Romanian or other eastern European? We want to know,' the website states. The website is illustrated by newspaper headlines such as 'Wouldn't it be better if you went back?' and 'Eastern Europeans, increasingly criminal'. Protests The Romanian ministry of foreign affairs wants the Dutch authorities to take action against the site, saying it 'violates European norms', and is discriminatory. Poland has also called for the website to be taken off line. PVV spokesman Ino van den Besselaar told the Telegraaf on Thursday the site had already received 14,000 complaints.

By Ada | 9 February 2012 7:50 PMI had many problems with Pole dancers, where do I sign up?
By Reader | 9 February 2012 8:30 PMLet this man knows, that NL will miss around 400 E which I planned to spend for trip to trance party in Den Bosch. Today I chaged my mind. Actually, after this I would planned trip to NL at all.
By Chris | 9 February 2012 9:08 PMHi,
By Ann | 9 February 2012 9:13 PMWhat is this? Is this UE ??
I would call it a discriminatie...
What most people forget is that Geert Wilders himself has an Eastern European wife, a Hungarian to be exact.
By Ismaïl din Wudjik | 9 February 2012 11:39 PMAbove all this way of treating people is more than racistic and disrimanatory, it is dangerous for the stability of The Netherlands.
And who do Romania think they are interfering in Dutch internal affairs.
I would say the majority of people including immigrants themselves do not want mass immigration anymore
By Phil | 10 February 2012 12:19 AMEastern European eh ? I have read that Mr Wilders wife is Eastern European. A Hungarian. Is she on a revenge mission to get back at the West because she could not crawl through the hole in the fence in 1956 ? Is Wilders her puppet ?
By mr owl | 10 February 2012 6:42 AMAnyone here who has a vote must be sure not to vote for the VVD next time round.
By Donaugh | 10 February 2012 8:34 AMIt was Rutte's overwhelming personal ambition to be Minister-President that put Wilders in the position of power he now enjoys!
Agent Wilder uses people's fear of crime as pretext for witch hunt against East Europeans instead of improving the Dutch population's security. The only actual crimes in NL that happened around me are the following:
By Wake up NL-The Haterix Has You | 10 February 2012 6:58 PM1. Broad daylight armed robbery of male clothes shop in the city center where the shop assistants had to give away the day's cash at gunpoint. After personally talking to the shop assistant I found out that the perpetrator is African-looking.
2. Poluting streets/spitting/throwing around fireworks/making noise in city center disturbing pedestrians. Personally saw who was doing that: Moroccan/Indonesian teenagers, with police cars around doing nothing.
Instead of more security cameras and peace/quite in city centers we get Wilder's Witch Trial!
Bernard Wientjes - God bless you--you're one of many decent people here who see Mr Wilders' "e-Witch Hunt" as what it really is: a discriminatory witch trial in the middle of 21st century Europe against 3 Christian people: Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. The % of E.European immigrants in NL is minor in comparison with others. Acc. to Eurostat, in 2010 there were 1.8 million foreign-born residents in NL, corresponding to 11.1% of the total population. Of these, 1.4 million (8.5%) were born outside the EU and 0.428 million (2.6%) were born in another EU Member State. All other major West European states have more other EU nationals residents than NL, but no such farce as we witness here has occured.
By Bernard Wientjes fan | 10 February 2012 7:35 PMLogically there is a confrontation of interests. Employers need cooperation and peaceful coexistence to create wealth and prosperity growth.
By zenplus | 16 February 2012 9:06 PMAnd Nazism has never been able to grow without creating conflicts, hatred and conflicts.
They simply have different objectives.
