AZ moves on in Europe but Ado Den Haag is out
A 1-1 draw away to Czech side Liberec put AZ of Alkmaar into the final qualifying round for this year’s Europa League competition.
AZ won the first leg at home 2-0.
However, despite a 1-0 home win on Thursday night, ADO Den Haag’s European dreams are over. The club lost the first leg 3-0 to Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus.
The draw for the fourth and final round of play-offs takes place later on Friday.
