InHolland wants to withdraw substandard degrees

HBO college InHolland wants to withdraw degrees from 63 students whose final year dissertations are not now considered good enough, college head Doekle Terpstra said on Thursday.

The InHolland group has been under fire for offering a number of substandard courses and officals now say some 25% of the students taking these subjects were wrongly awarded degrees.
The students, who graduated between 2007 and 2009, will be offered extra classes free of charge so they can retake some subjects but will not get financial compensation, Terpstra said.
Lawyers are now looking into the legal aspects of withdrawing the diplomas.
