Government spending on R&D goes down

The government will have cut spending on research and development by €500m between 2009 and 2015, according to calculations by the government’s Rathenau Institute.

In 2009, total ministerial spending on R&D reached €4.8bn, but this is set to fall to €4.3bn by 2015, the institute says.
Some of the shortfall will be compensated for by corporate tax cuts.
