Ziggo cuts analogue television package in favour of digital

Cable company Ziggo is reducing the number of channels in its basic analogue television package because they take up too much space on the network.

The standard package in most regions will be reduced from 30 to 25 channels. In 2009, the company cut four channels.
Ziggo hopes the switch will encourage more people to move to digital television. Some 1.2 million of the company’s three million clients are still analogue viewers.
