Public transport in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague will be disrupted over the next few days as bus and tram drivers go on strike in protest at government cuts.

The government wants to cut spending on bus, tram and metro services in the three cities by €120m. It says the three cities can generate the savings by putting services out to public tender. But all three city councils disagree and warn that services will have to be slashed to meet the cuts.
In Amsterdam on Monday, tram 14 and 25 will go on strike and there will be reduced rush-hour services on ferries over the IJ river.
On Tuesday in The Hague, services will also be reduced and the 3 and 4 Randstad light rail services will be suspended.
In Rotterdam, services will be reduced because of strikes on Wednesday.
