Fewer sea rescues last year
Life boats hauled 3,288 people from the sea last year, down slightly on the 2009 total. In addition, 55 animals were also rescued.
The busiest day for the lifeboats was August 15, when they were called out 47 times, as people got into trouble because of the force seven winds.
