ASML works round the clock to meet demand

Chip maker ASML is working round the clock to meet demand and has temporarily moved some 60 researchers to the production lines, a company spokesman told the Financieele Dagblad.

On Thursday ASML said its order books had reached a record €2bn. Mid October, the company said its order book total was €1.3bn.
‘We are full and we are using maximum creativity to create more room,’ the spokesman said.
Dozens of new jobs have been created. The workforce has now topped 1,800, compared with 1,100 at the depths of the crisis, the paper said.
