Rotterdam city council has cancelled its New Year’s party close to the Erasmus bridge because none of the proposals either meet the conditions of fit within its €200,000 budget, local tv station RTV Rijmond reports.

For the past two years, the city has celebrated the New Year with a live concert and dance party with the bridge as backdrop.
