PVV parliamentarians agree not to become members

The anti-Islam PVV will not introduce a membership system, the party’s 24 MPs decided on Tuesday.

The MPs were discussing a motion drawn up by dissident PVV parliamentarian Hero Brinkman who wants to democratise the party and lessen its emphasis on combating Islam.
At the moment, the PVV has one member – its founder Geert Wilders – and all decisions are taken through him.
Wilders told the Telegraaf Brinkman will remain an MP for the PVV. ‘Of course. We are a single entity,’ he said.
