Consumers have become slightly less mistrustful of insurance companies but are still definitely negative, according to the latest insurance sector statistics.

The index stands at -23 in the fourth quarter of the year. The scale can move between -100 and +100.
Nevertheless, it is the sixth quarter in a row the index has risen, since the low of -36 in Q2 2009.
‘The efforts insurance companies have been making to improve their reputation would appear to be tentatively paying off,’ the sector’s statistics office CVS said.
