Kidnapped brothers in Dutch refugee system since March

Two brothers, wanted by the FBI for kidnapping their three sons from their homes in California, arrived in the Netherlands in March this year, the Telegraaf reports on Friday.

George and John Silah were arrested at Dronten refugee centre last week. The boys have since been reunited with their mothers while the men are in jail, awaiting deportation.
The paper says the men, who are thought to be Syrian, were stopped at Schiphol airport while on their way to Greece and were found to be in possession of fake Bulgarian passports.
They then claimed to be Armenians who had left their own country because they were in danger.
The men and three boys were then admitted to the refugee system, using the information on the fake passports the paper says.
An investigation by the FBI and Greek authorities led to their eventual unmasking.
