Jobs go at government’s subsidy agency

The government is to cut up to 40% of jobs at its subsidy bureau Agentschap NL, largely because it is slashing subsidies for sustainable energy projects, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Monday, quoting agency sources.

The bureau distributes a budget of some €2.5bn a year for government ministries.
Some two-thirds of the commissions it funds goes to projects which fall under the new economic affairs, agriculture and innovation ministry
