Housing market remains stagnant

The housing market is still stagnating, according to figures released on Monday by national statistics office CBS.

Prices were 6% lower in September than in the top month of August 2008. Since then, prices have dropped sharply although they are now more or less stable, says the CBS.
There is, however, a large difference between provinces. In the period August 2008 and September 2010, prices in Zeeland dropped by 1.7%. In Noord-Holland the drop was 7.7%.
