A 27-year-old man who faced 18 years in jail for shooting dead an Amsterdam rapper known as Rel will not go to prison, a court in Groningen ruled on Thursday.

The court said the man, Jason B, had been forced to defend himself after Rel and three friends forced their way into his home.
