Budget leaks: spending power will fall

The outgoing cabinet’s 2011 financial plans will mean a cut in spending power for most people, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday, quoting the latest calculations from the government’s CPB economic advisory unit.

A week ago it appeared the effect of the budget would be neutral on spending power but new figures show an average reduction of 0.25%.
Households will really be hit in their pockets when the new right-wing government takes office and forces through €18bn worth of cuts, the paper says.
