Rotterdam Port books strong growth

The Port of Rotterdam has benefited from the revival of international trade, the company reported on Thursday. The tonnage handled in the first six months of 2010 was 213 tonnes, an increase of 14.8% on the year earlier period.

‘The crisis is over for the Port of Rotterdam,’ CEO Hans Smits said during the presentation of the figures and reported by NRC. ‘The question is if we can make good the losses of 2009 in one year.’
