Cotton price rise pushes up cost of clothing

The price of clothes will rise this autumn with jeans and tshirts costing between 10% and 15% more, according to the clothing retail trade body CBW-Mitex.


The increase is due to the 30% increase in the price of cotton over the past year because of growing demand, the organisation says in Wednesday’s Trouw.
