Ajax’s Suarez wins Golden Boot
Ajax striker Luis Suarez was presented with the Golden Boot award as best player of the last football season at the 29th football awards ceremony on Monday night.
The silver award went to Utrecht midfielder Dries Mertens while Suarez’s stablemate Demy de Zeeuw took the bronze.
The Johan Cruijff prize for talent of the year went to Ajax defender and international Gregory van der Wiel.
