After 32 years, Oranje again reaches the World Cup final

The Netherlands qualified for the finals of the 2010 World Cup with a 3-2 win over Uruguay in Cape Town on Tuesday evening.


The first goal game from Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the 18th minute with a long left-foot shot into the top corner.
Diego Forlan equalised for Uruguay in the 41st minute, but the Netherlands pulled back to 2-1 with a goal by Wesley Sneider, 25 minutes into the second half.
Three minutes later, Arjen Robben scored to make it 3-1 with a header in off the post.
Maximiliano Pereira pulled one back from a free kick in injury time to make it 3-2.
The Netherlands will take on the winner of Wednesday’s second semi final between Spain and Germany in Sunday’s final.
Oranje has twice qualified for the final before: in 1974 when it lost to Germany and in 1978 when it lost to Argentina.
