The rumours have been circulating in aviation circles for several weeks. Eurlings announced earlier this year he was quitting politics in order to try to start a family.
Eurlings told MPs it was not yet certain what he will do when the current cabinet is replaced. ‘I will remain active as a minister until the very last day. And there will be more rumours about my future job,’ he said.
