Flexible bosses can beat World Cup fever

Allowing staff to work flexible hours during the World Cup in June will prevent a rise in absenteeism during the tournament, according to health and safety advisory firm ArboNed.


‘If employers are generous about days off and flexible about working times, they will prevent people calling in sick,’ a spokeswoman told news agency ANP. ‘If you allow someone to start work two hours later the day after an important match, they remain motivated.’
