Premier league division winners FC Twente have begun the search for a new coach to take them into European football next season, following widespread reports that Steve McClaren is heading for Germany, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.

As well as ‘traditional local candidate’ Co Adriaanse, the club is looking to Germany and Britain for a replacement, the paper says. Michael Skibbe, who emerged as a strong candidate before McClaren arrived at the Enschede club two years ago is an ‘interesting option’, the paper says.
McClaren is expected to become the new boss of German side Wolfsburg.
