The Hague backs the M from Koolhaas

Friday 23 April 2010

The Hague city council has backed plans to build a 93-metre high building by top architect Rem Koolhaas in front of the city's central station as a new city landmark.

The building consists of three towers linked on the top floors and will house a combination of shops, houses and offices.

The building has become known as the M from Koolhaas because of its shape.

The previous administration delayed taking a vote on the plan, saying it needed fleshing out and the risks have not yet been properly calculated.
