Spending power reduced less than forecastFriday 12 March 2010 The average household's spending power will not go down as much as forecast this year and in 2011, according to confidential new estimates from the government's economic policy analysts, quoted in Friday's Telegraaf. The paper says the new figures, which will be discussed in the cabinet today, show the Dutch economy is recovering slowly. In February, the CPB said spending power would shrink by 0.75% this year, but this has been revised to 0.5%, the paper says. The economy will grow 1.5% this year and 2% in 2011, while unemployment will remain stable at around 6.5%. Nevertheless, the budget deficit will continue to mount, the new figures show. This year it will reach 6.3%, up slightly on previous estimates. By 2011 the deficit will have been reduced to 4.9% - if planned measures are taken to get spending back under control, the Telegraaf reports. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe
Absolutely Spot-on Stevie! In my case, struggle through the past 32 months here to initially stay alive and then try to make myself as well as I now am, with help of 'shops' and good traditional Chinese Doctors, and little help from Western Doctors or Social Services or any Dept of Government I asked for help ... lots of bills, even ones I should never have been sent, and lots of fines even when I should not be fined, even from Health Insurance when you have explained to then that I did not fill-in their form, in Dutch only, my Social worker, who speaks perfect dutch did, but I still have to pay the fines because they say I filled-in the form incorrectly (!!!) ... Health care and Pallative Care Dutch Style ... take away everything ... not even allowed basic Human Rights ... leaving you no way to determine your own future, except to be condemned to a short extremely painful life (days) of poverty ... during the EU Year of Anti-Poverty! For most majority it's:
Paying the bills
Paying the unexpected bills
Paying the reminder
Paying the extra administration costs
Paying the fines
...and some pocket money left to pay the council tax, PWN & more bills...
Isn't life great!
