Headscarf protest in the Hague

Around 100 men and women in the Hague and a handful of people in Almere turned up at polling stations to vote in the local elections on Wednesday wearing headscarves as an anti-Geert Wilders protest.

The leader of the anti-Islam party said last week he would make a headscarf ban in public buildings a core part of negotiations to form a new coalition in both cities. The PVV is only contesting the election in Almere and the Hague.
