Ajax fans welcome in Rotterdam

Rotterdam mayor Achmed Aboutaleb has given the green light for Ajax fans to attend the Dutch cup final against Feyenoord at the Kuip stadium on April 25.

Ajax fans have been banned from attending away matches against Feyenoord, and Feyenoord fans have been banned from Amsterdam's Arena because of persistent crowd trouble.

Aboutaleb said police would decide how many fans from each club they can cope with. He also wants the match to kick off before the 18.00 schedule.

'It is an opportunity for supporters to show that this can be a great advert for the game at which fans behave themselves,' Aboutaleb told Nos tv.
