Neelie Kroes convinces Euro MPs

Outgoing EU competition commissioner Neelie Kroes put on a convincing second performance in front of the European parliament on Tuesday, removing doubts about her suitability for the telecoms and IT portfolio, the Financieele Dagblad reports.

Dutchwoman Kroes was ordered to reappear after MEPs said her performance last week was not strong enough.
MEPs will now decide whether she and the rest of the 27-strong commission should be sworn in.
