Dutch luxury car maker Spyker on Sunday made a new bid to take over Saab from General Motors, which is planning to wind down the ailing Swedish car firm.

Spyker said the new offer would remove all the obstacles that caused its previous bid to collapse and gave GM until the end of Monday to consider it, the Financial Times reported.
Spyker CEO Victor Muller told the Financial Times the new offer did not require a €400m loan from the European Investment Bank. According to the FT, that was one of the main sticking points in the earlier talks.
