Shell’s Swedish arm up for sale
Oil giant Shell is selling off its Swedish arm Svenska Shell, including a refinery in Gotenburg and 400 petrol stations, news agency ANP reports, quoting Swedish tv.
The sale is part of Shell’s strategy to focus on oil and gas extraction rather than consumer sales. Company operations in Sweden will be unaffected while a buyer is sought and no redundancies are expected, ANP said.
