The anti-immigration PVV party of Geert Wilders on Friday placed advertisements in a number of regional newspapers to find candidates to represent the party in the provincial elections of 2011 and the upper house of parliament (senate).

Members of the provincial governments appoint senators.
Some six weeks ago Wilders announced that his party would only contest next year’s local council elections in The Hague and Almere because of the difficulty in finding suitable candidates.
