Hospitals pay highest public sector bonuses
Wednesday 23 September 2009
Hospitals and housing corporations pay their managers the highest bonuses in the public sector, according to a survey by the NRC.
However, the highest bonus identified by the paper was a €79,865 loyalty pay-out to a defence ministry jet fighter pilot, the paper said.
Most of the pay-outs were made because managers had reached specific targets or had brokered mergers between housing corporations, the paper said.
