Akzo Nobel CEO to chair Shell pay body

The CEO of paint and chemicals company Akzo Nobel is to chair the remuneration committee at Shell, the oil giant said on Friday.

Hans Wijers will quit his other Shell job on the corporate and social responsibility committee, Shell was quoted as saying by the Financieele Dagblad.
Wijers joined Shell’s supervisory board at the end of last year.
The remuneration committee came under fire earlier this year for approving bonuses for top executives even though they had not met financial targets.
