Cabinet invests €660m in land clean-up

The cabinet has set aside €660m to clean up polluted ground in the Netherlands over the next five years.

In total, the country has 14,000 sites which need cleaning up, and 1,800 are a priority because of the risk they pose to human health, news agency ANP said. Most are inner city locations where petrol stations or factories were based.
