Man fined for ‘corrupt police’ t-shirt

A 31-year-old man from Tilburg has been fined €170 for insulting behaviour after wearing a t-shirt combining the word ‘corrupt’ with the police logo, the Telegraaf reports.

The man told the court the t-shirt was meant to be a joke but the magistrate said it was deliberately insulting. He is to appeal.
In recent years people have been fined for waving a middle finger (the Dutch equivalent to the two-fingered V-sign) at a police officer and calling a police man ‘homo’.
